This is a 3d-model of a typical German Christmas decoration from the 'Erzgebirge' (Region in Germany). These pyramids are handcrafted from wood and have a rotating center which is powered by the heat from the candles. The heat creates up-winds which turn the rotor.
The parts of the model are all separate, so they can be rearranged for a different type of decoration.

The parts are logically organized to create a 'functioning' pyramid and they are UV-mapped. There are three maps included:
Wood colors (4096x 4096 pixels),
Wood bump (4096x 4096 pixels)
Flame color and luminance (512 x 512 pixels)
The rotation of the center and the flickering of the flames is animated.
