High quality model of a generic formula one 2010 race car according to most of the FIA rules. Fully detailed and textured with hi-res textures up to 4096x4096 suitable for close-up renders (PSD layered files included).
The model was build with Maya 2010 and should be downward compatible to at least Maya 7. Preview images were rendered with Mental Ray. The set contains one Maya file without any render settings and one featuring all the settings, materials and setups from the images shown above (needs MentalRay loaded).
The model has been exported from Maya as .obj and .fbx file formats and checked in other 3d applications. Textures and Materials might need adjustment in any other Software than Maya.
The model includes the control mesh with no subdivisions and is organized with Maya sets for easy processing. Applying regular Catmull-Clark subdivisions dependent on the renderer should give satisfying results.
NOTE: Only subdivide the geometry in the 'smooth_set'!

NOTE: This car is also available as a rigged version, ready to animate. It features 41 controls to animate the main elements of the car, including jitter and rumble controls. ONLY available as a Maya scene file!
