The Heart is a special item in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! It is Princess Peach and Princess Daisy's special item. The item is used almost like a shield. There are 2 hearts that rotate around the team on the kart. When something hits them, instead of causing them to slip out, flip, or go flying in the air, the heart makes the item that hit the team theirs! The kart can be hit two times and can use whatever item they hit, and then after that, the heart's power is used up.
