I was looking for an F-18 model to work with in C4D. This model was PERFECT and dropped right in to Cinema. There is a ton of detail, and the texture maps are quiet large. This is definitely worth the money!
Description
Description

This is a very detailed, high definition model of the F-18 Hornet, textured as Finnish Air Force.

Texture and bump maps are 4096K resolution and include minute details and weathering effects. All textures are available as photoshop templates to allow you to easily produce your own textures or modify markings.

All mechanicals are separated and pivoted so they will be easy to rig, including landing gear, refueling arm, arrestor, air brakes, and wing controls. Wings are pivoted and parented for fold-up assembly (see render)

Includes detailed AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles, AIM-7 Sparrow missiles, and GBU-16 Guided Bombs, and external fuel tanks.

Cockpit is very detailed and includes geometry for much of the control interface. Detailed ejection seat is included.

History

The F/A-18 Hornet is a modern all-weather carrier strike fighter. It is an aircraft designed to fill the roles of fighter aircraft and attack aircraft. Designed in the 1970s, it is in service with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps, as well as several other nations. It fills the roles of fighter escort, fleet air defense, suppression of enemy air defenses (SEAD), interdiction, close and deep air support, reconnaissance, and forward air control. Its versatility and reliability have proven it to be a valuable carrier asset, and its only drawback is its relative lack of range, speed, and ability to land on aircraft carriers with significant combat loads.
