Highly accurate European Euro and Cent coins (3ds max 2011) with sophisticated V-Ray shaders and textures.
Each coin consists of a lightweight polygon mesh and derives its coinage details from very detailed diffuse and normal bump maps at 5K resolution. For maximum quality and accuracy each texture originates from a vector graphics layout and has been processed to derive accurate diffuse lighting and bump mapping / displacement maps, so the coin materials are not just based on plain photographs or scanned surfaces as it is usually the case.
The metal shaders realistically react on their environment. Except for the V-Ray renderer there are no additional plugins needed.
The tiny scratches on the surface are a separate texture map and can be switched off entirely.
