Description
This is a model of a Dragon Colossus,
Originally created with 3ds Max 2011.
This model is suitable for use in broadcast, high-res film close-ups, advertising, design visualization, forensic presentation, etc.
This model contains 6 separate objects that are placed in layer named “dragon”.
For the tendrils fur merge the Vrayfur object located in layer named “FUR”.
This model contains 57824 polygons with TurboSmooth OFF.
This model contains 163694 polygons with TurboSmooth ON (set to 1 iterations.) .
This product includes 3ds Max versions with and without V-Ray (separate downloads) .
Renderer is shown as V-Ray.  The other renderer used is Scanline renderer.
There are no extra elements in the preview images that are not included in the MAX file.
All preview images are rendered with V-Ray renderer and default MAX scanline renderer.
No Photoshop or compositing used, Product is ready to render out-of-the-box. Lights and cameras are included in the both MAX files.
1024x1024 JPG ([eye_diffuse.jpg]) – Eye of the dragon.
You can download it separately from the supporting files part but however it is already located in the zipped MAX file.
Background is procedural V-Ray sky map for V-Ray file and procedural default gradient map for Scanline file.
The skin material is procedural so it is easy to adjust the color etc.
Red, green and blue dragon skin materials are found in the Material slots of both V-ray and Scanline files.
Model is built to real-world scale
Units used: Centimeters. Model is 6207 centimeters long, 2704 centimeters wide and 4860 centimeters high.
Scene objects are organized by layers.
V-Ray 1.5 and above is REQUIRED in order to use this product.
Other file format do not have Vray textures/materials applied and will not render like the preview images.
File formats 3DS is exported as base mesh (not turbosmoothed) .
For 3DS file change the texture file name to “eye_diff.jpg”.
Model represents 72 of hours of 3D work .
