Dinosaurs are animals that dominated the terrestrial ecosystem for over 100 million years. Non-avian dinosaurs became extinct at the end of the Cretaceous period, 65 million years ago. Knowledge about dinosaurs comes from both fossil and nonfossil records, including fossilized bones, feces, trackways, gastroliths, feathers, impressions of skin, internal organs and 'soft tissues'.
Guests are taken on through primeval scenes populated with audio-animatronic dinosaurs.
DINOSAUR uses the same technology as Disneyland's Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye. Both rides are very similar but differ in the theming and story.
