This is a detailed model of the colosseum.

Construction of the colosseum started in 70AD and it served as an arena until 523AD. It has also seen service as a fortress, housing, workshop and christian shine.

It has been damaged by earthquakes and fires and has been rebuilt and repaired many times over the centuries.
