Cityscape, the downtown of a big city, made with many different buildings and variations of some of them, so it won't look repetitive.
The details of the city are very good, all the buildings being modeled, using no diffuse, bump, or any other kind of maps. The closeup of the city will show obvious low poly cars and trees, not to increase with no reason the poly number of the scene with other millions because of the big number of cars and trees. The only maps in the scene are the ones used for the green objects like grass and trees, also diffuse maps for the streets, and a bump map for the water.
The scene is great to be used in a variety of scenarios: as a cityscape, background, for aerial views and animations, shots from high office buildings, shots from the water surface (as seen from a boat), and many others.
The city can still be edited. All the buildings can be moved around, the city size can be increased by copying the blocks. the city is tileable.
You can remove some of the buildings and replace them with your own, offering your own projects a nice surrounding.
Created in 3ds max 2012, using V-Ray materials and settings.
You can also find an OBJ and a 3DS file, both of them without the low poly cars and without the low poly trees, so they won't be too heavy to handle.
There are two Max files, both almost the same, one of them had a modifier applied so the scene won't contain Ngons.
