Thank you for viewing my 2016 Next Chicane design concept! The design is 100% my own from drawing board to render and was inspired by recent European cars and has strong European cues. I'm also inspired by Le Mans Prototypes as well hence the Le Mans-esque rear end.
Chicane is racing terminology for a set of turns on a race course commonly used strategically to overtake an opponent. The name is fitting for this vehicle since it is designed with track duty and tight turns in mind.
The design features a wind channel running from the intakes on the hood and funnels air down narrow sheet metal to the wings in back which operate independently creating more downforce on one side helping keep the car planted in tight turns.
I simply asked the question, 'What would I like to see in a car?', and 'What kind of car would I like to drive?'
I studied many different cars and took the cues from them but did my best to make it completely different from anything that exists on the road today like the T-Shape grill which will be featured on future designs.
Here are some specs on the car, just for fun:

535 HP 8000 RPM
500 Lb-Ft TQ 8000 RPM
8 speed Auto transmission with paddle shift
