Description
Special offer: download Includes a second, free, bonus chandelier with brighter gems.

This unique bronze and gemstone chandelier sparkles with hues of emerald, peridot, citrine and champaign quartz crystals (the colors can be changed), adding a stylish touch to your upscale interior.

Please note that the model needs to be placed in an environment or have an HDR image in the background in order to render properly; otherwise, the gems will have a flat, unrealistic appearance (see example). Backlighting makes the colors pop; incandescent lighting lends a more muted appearance. For extra dazzle, try using the free, bonus chandelier with backlighting.

With only a little more than 39k polygons, this model renders quickly and will not bog down your system as some of the larger crystal chandeliers may do.

Import formats (obj, fbx, dae) are saved as base mesh without TurboSmooth (Max) or Subpatch (LightWave) modifiers applied. The modifiers may be useful in close-up images, but are generally unnecessary for use in large scenes. The gems should never be subdivided and should retain their 0% smoothing angle for best results.

All parts are named and have materials applied. If your target software is something other than LightWave, you may need to adjust the material properties slightly. Additionally, LightWave and Obj files include two groups, Facet and Smooth, to make the model easier to work with. Please see the base mesh preview image, above.

Model created in LightWave 9.6, but is compatible with both earlier and later versions of the software, 6-11 (current).
