This is a high-detail photorealistic model of a chameleon. It is fully rigged, UvLayed out, smoothable, ready to animate and render.
It includes every necessary map to get exactly what you see on preview renders.
All preview images are DIRECT 3D RENDERS, no 2D manipulation has been made.
It includes 4K high resoulution maps for extra-close ups and fine details.

This model is rigged using standard bones with combination of HI/SplineIK solvers and using stretchy bones for Spline setup.
Tongue is rigged with the usage of FFD Deformables which allows making tongue animations very easily.
The entire rig is highly animator friendly and very easy to use.

Because this model is smoothable and uses displacement maps for fine details, it is very easy to optimize it for your needs.
It can be both both used for close-ups or wide-shots
There are two max files in this package.
Both are rigged and ready for render.
Animated one includes a sample animation (which can be downloaded from previews section) and lighted with
The other one includes no animation and uses no FG/GI. Still it is lighted using photometric lights and ideal to get flicker-free decent looking
You have to download all .rar files and extract them into a single directory. The extracted size of the project is 334MB because of the high resolution
Both scene files are optimized for Built-in Mental Ray render engine, no extra plugins are needed.
For Depth of Field effect, you have to enable Depth of Field, or use an additional plugin (Cebas Final DOF) to get the effect.
THIS MODEL IS FOR 3DS MAX 2008 AND UPPER VERSIONS ONLY!
3DS MAX 2010 users have to change the Gamma/LUT settings to render it correctly. You can do with these steps:
-Make sure 3ds Max version is up to date. Service Pack 1 should be installed for version 2010
-Open 3ds Max 2010 (It will most probably the same for version 2011)
-Go to Customize => Preferences
-Select the Gamma and Lut TAB
-'Enable Gamma/LUT correction' checkbox
-Make both Input and Output Gamma 1.0 under Bitmap Files group.
-Open the project file. It will ask you if you want to disable the LUT/Gamma correction to correspond the settings in the file. If you say yes it opens the file correctly, but changes the display settings to original. If you say no it wont change anything. Either you say yes or no, it will display and render project correctly.
