| The seven basic models for the Boat Hoist are the Boat Hoist assembly, the Lower Boatshed - High Resolution, the Lower Boatshed - Low Resolution, the Upper Boat Repair Shop - High Resolution, the Upper Boat Repair Shop - Low Resolution, the Upper Boat Repair Shop as 'Closed' for the night, and the Boat Hoist Ramp that leads from the upper wharf to the lower Boatshed and piers. The boat hoist is made of steel I-beams. It rests on two wharf sections on one end, and two concrete pilings in the water. Two fabric slings descend from a moveable carriage and hang over the water. In addition to the hoist itself, the boatworks consists of a 'Boatshed' which rests on piers at water level, and a 'Boat Repair Shop' on the upper wharf. The Boatshed has a large accordian door opening out onto the water, and another set of sliding doors at the rear of the building. It also has a small deck running around the interior on three sides. The upper Boat Repair Shop on the wharf is used for dry repairs, painting, varnishing and fabrication of boat and ship parts. The Repair Shop has two large doors opening out onto the wharf, and one small door leading to the boat hoist. In the 'Low Resolution' version of the Repair Shop, the wharf doors are open, but there are no objects inside. In the 'Closed' version of the Repair Shop, all the doors are closed, and there are no interior objects. The 'High Resolution' version of the Repair Shop contains a small set of objects typical of a working repair shop. A boat hull is being sanded down and is resting on two 'cradles.' There is a workbench and shelves in the back of the repair shop, overhead lights, a desk and stool, oars leaning against the wall, paint cans on the shelves, and two relatively detailed toolboxes for woodworking tools. Use the high polygon count version when the Boat Hoist model is the focus of your scene. These models are in four basic units (Hoist on a set of wharf units; lower Boatshed with piers and decks; upper Boat Repair Shop, and 'Ramp') so that you can arrange them to fit whatever water level is established for your scene. |
