The Antonov An-74 (NATO reporting name Coaler) is a transport aircraft developed in the former Soviet Union. It was designed as a STOL transport and intended as a replacement for the Antonov An-26, but variants have found success as commercial freighters. An unusual design feature of the An-74 is the use of the Coand? effect to improve STOL performance, utilizing engine exhaust gases blown over the wing's upper surface to boost lift. The first flight was made in August 31, 1977, but it was only in the 1980s that production started.
This highly detailed Antonov 74-200 3D model comes with detailed animated flaps system, spoilers, slats and stabilizer slats. All other flightcontrols like elevator, dubbel ailerons and rudder are cutted out and ready for animation.
Further more you will find detailed animated landing gear system including suspension, torque links, gear bay doors and rods, aswell as textured 3D gear bays.
The Engines have animated thrust reverser system and the fan part can be animated.
On the exterior you will find more details ie. windshield wipers, various anttena's and exterior lights like landing, taxi and anti-collision lights.
Interior part is modelled in low 3D detail but includes pilot seats, cockpit panels. The cargo bay is also modelled, but excists out of a simple tube. The rear cargo doors (split type) are animated for your convience.
Model can also be used for MSFS Gmax or other simulator program's. Modelled to scale and comes with high resolution textures.
Animation as being seen in the preview images are only working in both .max and .3ds files. Animations are devided into 4 situations.
- Flight mode, frame 0: clean model, everything retracted.
- Landing mode, frame 0-80: gear and flaps down.
- Touch down mode, frame 80-81: gear suspension
- last mode, frame 81-100: speedbrake extends and cargobay
opens.
