| COT stands for Car Of Tomorrow. In 2007/2008 Nascar implemented this new style of stock car to improve safety and competition. These models were built ideally for game usage, but will work well in any type of pre-render environment. Please check out the preview files, included are high-rez renders as well as a controllable 360° preview programs of the models. All images were created using the default scanline render system, 'light tracer' was enabled for the wire frames. Each model is made up of only 3 textures; body, wheel, and glass. The max and 3ds file both point to 1024 & 512 DDS textures, you can find the 2048 PSD files included in the bonus content. Poly count (including wheels and under body) is under 5500 total for each car. Each model has a very similar unwrap to make it easy to transfer themes between models. The geometry on the front of each COT car is different but the rest of the car is identical – just like the rules in nascar state each car can be built. The PSD included all the basic layers as well as a bonus layer of the preview car above. Each car includes the 2008 Kasey Kahne, Tony Stewart, Carl Edwards & Dale Earnhardt Jr. paint schemes.
