| Two variations of this highly detailed compass are included, each with a unique appearance: Antique Brass and rugged Steel/Titanium Military. Each has a different font for the cardinal points (you can also easily change the font without having to create a new material map.) File is in MAX R4 format. The model is animated: the cover opens and the compass swings. This compass makes a perfect complement to the detailed binoculars that I also have listed. ** Also be sure to view my other newly-posted transparent compass ** Two variations of this highly detailed compass are included, each with a unique appearance: Antique Brass and rugged Steel/Titanium Military. Animated: Hinged cover opens and needle swings You can also change the font without having to create a new material map. To do this, edit the uncollapsed Cardinal Points group (currently hidden). The cover and hinge are linked to a dummy object. To open and close the compass, rotate the dummy. When rendering the military variant with the brushed steel, you can ignore the warning about no map coordinates on the object (to me the material looks better without UVW mapping applied). |
