UV mapping has been done to the feather models, basic textures applied. These models are all unique, and are useful for non-photorealistic artistic work. User may need to re-assign texture maps to geometry when loading OBJ and 3DS files. Max 8 export doesn't use textures, instead, a gradient is used to control the colors of the feathers, so any color can be chosen for use. Preview images rendered in 3ds Max 8.
