3d weapon lightsaber - Lightsaber... by deadplant155

This is Luke Skywalker's LightSaber from episode 4, i modeled it from blueprints obtained from master replicas website. it also happens to be anakin skywalkers lightsaber from episode 3, but there are slight differences and i prefer lukes. the blade in the render is green, but in the maya file, it is blue. The included files are in a .rar archive, you'll need either winrar or stuffit expander to open them, both have free trials available. I also used an ambient occlusion shader to get the results in my render, that is not included in the maya file since not everyone will have it, two good AO shaders are 'dirtmap' and the mental images ambient occlusion shader (it should come with mental ray 3.3 and above). the handle itself is made with nurbs, but the rest is polygons.
