You can also export the animation data from XSI to lightwave with point oven baker as an mdd data.
In lightwave: add displacement MD_plug to load in the exported mdd file. Set your objects geometry subdivision order to last.

Its a subdivision polygon model with quads only and the flow is really sweet, please take a look at the wireframes.
