3d theropod dinosaur rig deinonychus - Deinonychus Rig & Skin by The Chaos Chief

IN THE DOWNLOAD, YOU GET:
The dinosaur mesh with seamless texture coordinates (2 UV channels) and masks/maps. Uses standard 3ds Max materials for easy conversion/implementation into 3rd-party renderers. The model is subdivided only 1 iteration in the preview images and videos. Without subdivision: 14,058 triangles. With 1 iteration of subdivision: 56,148 triangles. No scripting or external tools/plug-ins were used to produce this rig. It's all controlled with constraints, parameter wiring, list controllers, linking, IK, and regular 3ds Max bones. There is a skin-twisting solution all around the ankle areas and the wrist areas.

RIG CAPABILITIES:
This rig is capable of some nice ranges of motion. The controls at the top of the rig control the rig by rotation only, so moving the controls will have no effect on the rig because of orientation constraints. Even the eyes and tongue have controls for movement. The pupils of the eyes have a spinner control for eye dilation, and 'look at' targets, but no control for closing the eyes. Why? Because there could be many ways dinosaurs closed their eyes. It could've been the mammalian method with eyelids, or the avian (bird) method with a thin skin membrane, so that's up to the buyer to implement 'closing eyes' into this rig, if it's necessary.

FINAL NOTES:
As for scene organization I've set up some layers and all bones have been named. Also included: hair and fur on the dinosaur, including bitmap masks to define color, density, and cut-length: Unhide the proxy geometry to view and render, from the layer manager.
