This is a solar powered water heater model complete with house, pipes, water tank, controller, and expansion tank. The panel itself is composed of water circulation tubes, dark-plated absorbers, and insulation inside a hard casing (all modeled). The sun’s energy is used to heat water stored in the water tank and sent throughout the house as needed. Cool water is sent to the tank and the process repeats. A basic house is included to allow for a basic demonstration of how this works.

Another layer within the .MAX file has the entire scene backed up with an entire house (stack not collapsed – slice and symmetry modifiers intact). Scene is created mostly with editable polys. The pipes are editable splines and the tank has an uncollapsed turbosmooth modifier. Thumbnails are rendered with mental ray. Bitmaps used are included (some textures are procedural). Objects are named.
