Each file is structured from three layers. The first layer being for the planet/moons themselves. The second layer is a representation of the planet's orbit using a trail in various colours. The third layer is a planetarium like mechanical mechanism.

Each planet is animated to orbit the sun and the moons to orbit the planet. All animations are to scale, 1 frame = 1 earth day. The 2 other layers are also animated to follow the planet.

To view the Solar System as a whole, it has been designed to open the Sun file first then merge in the other eight files.
