This is a 3D-model of an abstract snowflake. It is 18.532 cm high (1unit = 1cm).
The model is polygonal, subdividable and highly detailed to be usable in close-ups.
The model consist of of 3 separate objects:
Snowflake-Center (440 Vertices, 462 Polygons)
Snowflake-Inner (5172 Vertices, 5664 Polygons)
Snowflake-Outer (5172 Vertices, 5664 Polygons)
The model was created with CINEMA4D Release16 Studio and needs the 'Advanced Render' Module to render exactly like the thumbnails (GI and Physical Renderer were used). Renders made with earlier versions of C4D or other applications will look slightly differently.
All Objects are UV-Mapped (non overlapping) and use this included texture:
Snowflake_Color.jpg (1348 x 2048 pixels)
This Texture is actually just a plain color. It can be used if you want to paint or texture the objects using the UVs.
The zip-file contains the 3 objects as well as the texture map.
The C4D version also contains the scene (cameras, lights and a Background-Image) used to make the thumbnails.
The non-C4D versions have been converted from the original C4D file. The geometry and UVs are transported correctly with the conversion but materials will have to be tweaked and textures may have to be applied manually.
Thumbnail-images are rendered with CINEMA 4D Release16 Studio (Physical Renderer).
No third-party renderer or plug-ins needed.
