The 'c3d diet' layer activates a lightweight version of the model that allows for easy design and manipulation within SketchUp. When you are ready to render or animate your model, the 'c3d' layer activates textured polygon components that cast wonderful shadows. If you need to export your model to a Google Earth kmz, there is a 'c3d earth' layer that results in a slender 32 KB file. The model is render-friendly when exported to higher end rendering applications such as 3DS and Lightwave. Foliage can be rendered in summer or autumn colors by a simple change of layers.
