Daytime , nighttime, Vray Non-vray version are provided.
To know the model better: watch the animation(1024*614 - 54sec long wmv); download the preview render package, it has even bigger daytime, nighttime wire renders and screen captures.
All objects are quads and triangles only. All transforms are reset (except chairs in max file). no negative scale value etc. objects in max file is organized by layers and groups. Objects are all named following a naming convention. Materials and maps are all named too. Hdr file is not provided, you got to use your own environment HDR file. All map files are in tga format. All objects in all formats are in correct scale.
To max users:
It contains 6 files:
1 - chairs all vray.max:
All chairs with vray material. Chair parts are separate and grouped. There are 4373 objects(mostly instanced) and 1086 groups(each chair is a group of its own) You can use script to randomly move/rotate these chair groups as you like.
2 - chairs all4 attached export novray:
Chairs in 8 locations are attached by material and devrayed. There are only 15 objects With naming convention like chair_group1** or chair_group2** . These chairs are easy to load(because they are attached, max file size is 24mb instead of 95mb for the above 4373-objects-version) It has some randomness already but a little bit hard to tweak the randomness further as it is attached.
3 - freedom daytime ship-only 4 export novray:
This file use standard max material so it is export friendly. It has no terrain, sea plane. Only the ship (without chairs)
4 - freedom_2.0 daytime version with iceberg vray:
This is the one I use to make most of my renders. It use vray material. has environment setup. The iceberg is kind of too close to the ship and material is kind of too big in scale. I just want the render to show more detail. You can change that as you see fit.
5 - freedom_2.1 night version vray:
There are a lot of lights in the ship as it is a big ship. So it takes some time to render it. One side of the ship has more cabin lit than the other. So you may choose to show one side of the ship or the other depending on the mood you want to achieve. There are more interior models than in the daytime version. The side cabin has a self illuminating object to illuminate surroundings, but it is set to not show itself in render. Right behind it is a semi self-illuminating object to represent the lit cabin at night.
6 - Freedom_lightobject:
All vray lights (Around 1500 lights) are replaced by object(like sphere) It is to export physical object so other application can import these 'light' and either make it self illuminating or replace it again with their own light. you can also tell these lights' intensity by its material name or, if it uses ies file, by its naming convention. The ies file is provided in the package too.
