The Ape Piaggio (italian for bee) is an italian tiny utility vehicle built since 1948 (and I mean tiny, it's less than two meters long...). It was powered by a motorbike engine and in its primitive form simply was a small cart with an engine and an uncomfortable seat. Payload was 0.4 tons. Today it's still in production, even if payload was rised to 0.9 tons and it is now four-wheeled (it is still a common joke to call the three-wheeled ones 'four wheel drive' Ape).
