Adjustable level of detail model of a light, elegant chair, including displace/bump and opacity textures for grating surfaces. Model can be smoothed for more details, geometry consist of quad faces only. Depending on the details needed, displace map can be used as a bump map, included textures are seamless (tileable).
Geometry:
The model consist of three separate pieces, separated by materials properly named in all file formats ['rest'-236 faces, 'seat'-192 faces, 'chair_frame'-5512 faces, all quads]. The parts, named 'seat' and 'rest' in model space, are double sided (backface cull is off) because of the grating material application. The 'chair_frame' is single piece of smoothable geometry.
The model's dimensions are in real world units [1:1, 1cm=1cm].
Materials:
Shaders included are for Mental-ray in Maya format. Two shader nodes named 'frame' and 'grate' are in Maya's Hypershader. Shader named 'grate' has opacity and displace textures connected to it. In 3dsMax and in *.obj format, materials aren't included, but can be easily recreated using included textures.
Textures:
Opacity and displacement maps included. Both in *.bmp format, 512x512 pixels in size. The displacement map can be also used as a bump map. Textures are seamless (tileable), so density of the grating surfaces can be easily changed.
UVs:
UV-ing is done in a way that textures match on both grated parts (the 'belts' match on 'seat' and 'rest' surfaces, as seen on the thumbnails), in all file formats.
