This is an extremely detailed model of a large bio-diesel generator featuring clean paint textures. The model consists of over 2,300 separate elements and is model to make mechanical sense. All elements have been cleanly poly modeled with no intersecting geometry and proper supporting edges. To make object/scene management easier, the objects have been attached into 29 sections which makes the file much easier to work with. (see assembly images and map previews.)
The model features primarily quad based geometry with less than a 3% triangle count and no n-gons. The model is entirely built to support subdivision and is modeled to real-world scale using cm (Centimeters). The model is 526.35 cm (17.26 Feet) long, 192.12 cm (6.30 Feet) Wide and 243.47 cm (7.98 Feet) High.
The model is constructed using a non-destructive workflow with the modifier stack intact, allowing the subdivision level to be changed or completely removed without issue.
The Chinese text on the skid translates to 'Bio-Diesel Generator'. If this feature is unwanted or unneeded, the file also comes with additional clean versions of the skid texture featuring no text.
The file is well organized and contains a proper naming convention, as well as separate layers for the geometry and lights. All maps and materials are also correctly named to match the geometry.
The file includes a studio lighting rig consisting of 5 VRay lights, as well as image based lighting (IBL) for additional environment lighting and reflections. Two HDRI images are included with the file and all render settings are already setup in Vray and ready to go. All preview images shown were rendered using the same lighting rig and VRay settings.
---Textures & Materials----
Includes 62 extremely high resolution 4K (4096x4096) Diffuse, Bump, and Reflection Maps - and all materials/shaders. Also includes 2 HDRI Images for lighting and reflections with a resolution of 7500x3750 and 7398x3303.
All elements have been unwrapped and are non-overlapped allowing each uv cluster to receive unique uv space. A second Unwrap UVW modifier has been applied above the first Turbosmooth modifier allowing the subdivided UVs to be relaxed a second time to remove any UV distortion caused by the first iteration of subdivision. This will allow the model to be subdivided further without distorting the UVs.
The polycounts listed below show the total number of faces WITH and WITHOUT subdivided bolts. While the bolts are model to support subdivision, it's not required for most renders, but 1 or 2 iterations of Turbosmooth can be applied to the bolts for close-up renders if needed.
