On 2011 NASA Launch complex 39B landmark vanished from view at Kennedy Space Center.
40 years Of space history demolished.
The demolition project left the pad with its concrete surface, water tower and three lightning masts.
Demolition project aimed at creating a clean, multi-use pad for future government and commercial vehicles.
New design will feature a 'clean pad' for rockets to come with their own support structures.
Final details of what the pad will look like are unknown.
This is the latest version of the NASA Launch complex 39B before it was demolished.
