Originally modeled in 2005, this classic retro rocket was completely updated in 2012 with streamlined mesh, higher quality UV maps, and the addition of a rusted ladder so occupants don't have to base jump or rappel to exit.
There are windows on both sides; the door on front can be removed, or pivoted to open and close. Heavy signs of wear add an element of interest.
The model is fully unwrapped and UV mapped with 2048x2048 jpegs for easy transfer between programs. Textures include multiple UV maps: color, diffuse, specular, alpha, and bump, as well as two layered grunge maps, all applied in the native LightWave product.
The ladder and rocket are saved as separate objects in transfer formats (.3ds, .obj, and .fbx) and are base mesh (not subpatched or mesh smoothed). The images above show the model rendered at a subpatch level of two (2 iterations). If your target program is something other than LightWave, you may need to adjust some of the material settings for best results with your rendering engine.
The native file is compatible with LightWave versions 6 through current (11).
