This Reef Shark model is made in Lightwave. There are 2 versions that are included in the zip file. The LW9.3 version uses a new nodal material called FastSkin (this doesn't work in earlier versions of LW) the LW9.2 version dosen't use FastSkin so it should work fine in earlier versions. You can load the LW9.3 version in earlier versions of LW it will just tell you it dosen't like the FastSkin node. The geometry of both versions are identicle. There are 2 scene files in a zip file that is included. Both have the shark fully rigged but one has the shark swimming so you can see how the rig works. There is a bone to open the jaw but it's better to use the included morfs for opening the jaw. I think it just works better. Also, there is a morf for the gills. By animating the gill morf you can open and close the gills. The main fins are animatable by keying the key or base bones of each fin. The fins behave in a realistic way by offsetting the timing of the rest of the bones in the fins. You get kind of a sinewave motion. All the textures are included in the shark_textures zip file. I included a still image for the caustics. This was used for the product renders of the shark. To include an animated caustic texture would be too large to download. The point and poly counts are based on SubD level 0. The renders were done at level 3 which gives a pretty decent polycount. Enjoy!
**** Just added additional formats!!!
Note: OBJ, 3DS, and XSI formats aren't rigged. Also, the surfaces aren't fully set up (Just basic color mapping). There are UV maps however and you can use all the textures that are in the Textures Zip file.
