Description
This is a model of the main façade of the Natural History Museum, designed by Alfred Waterhouse between 1860 and 1880. Built in Victorian Romanesque Revival style, it is one of the most famous of the great London Museums.

The Natural History Museum was part of a massive master-planning vision headed by Prince Albert consisting of exhibition, arts, academic and scientific showcase in Kensington. Other buildings in this heroic development include the Royal Albert Hall, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and eventually the Albert Memorial (all models are available from the London Landmarks Collection, a set of 33 of London’s most famous buildings and monuments, available as a set, or separately from Turbo Squid.)
