NASA's space shuttle orbiters are majestic in appearance, intricate in design, and infinite in the possibilities. they offer mankind in the exploration of our universe.
Columbia (OV-102), is one of five orbiters in the Space Shuttle fleet of NASA.
It is the first one.
The other four are Challenger, Discovery , Atlantis, and Endeavour .
Columbia was launched on its first mission, on 1981.
It was destroyed on its landing descent to Kennedy Space Center on 2003.
