This is a model of the Le Klint 172 pendent, a popular, classically modern light piece. The surface of the model is one sided, used with vray this allows very fast SSS results using vray's 2 sided material. There is also a light proxy object included, which envelops the lamp model and can be used to get faster and cleaner results.
The seams of the PVC strips have also been modeled as a one sided strip running along the sharp edges. They cast a very soft shadow, depending on the material settings and add a nice touch of realism to this model.
