3d model geneva mechanism - Geneva Mechanism by Purple Puppy

The Geneva mechanism converts smooth rotation into an intermittent step motion. It is used in such devices as cinema projectors (for advancing the film in steps) and conveyor belts.

This model contains a six-sided Geneva mechanism and a five-sided Geneva mechanism. These are created with very high precision.

The model is originally created in NURBS using Rhinoceros 4, although a converted polygon mesh is also available.
