| The Pe-2 was one of the most important Russian medium bombers of the War. It was a rather small 2 engine attack plane used as a dive bomber. The Pe-2 carried three heavy (12.7mm) and four light (7.62mm) machine guns and up to 2000 pounds of bombs. It had two 1200hp engines. It a typical Russian machine in many respects.
