About the FBX® Format
In the interest of producing 3D models that are accessible to as many software platforms as possible, Reagan
McKenzie Design now offers our content in FBX format.
FBX® open-standard, platform-independent 3D file format gives you access to content authored in any software
package supporting the FBX file format. FBX plug-ins are included with Autodesk® Maya® software, Autodesk® 3ds
Max® software, and Autodesk® VIZ software—providing high levels of interoperability between these packages—and
with Autodesk® MotionBuilder™ software, which supports FBX natively. These plug-ins, and plug-ins for additional
software vendors, are also available at no-charge from Autodesk®. FBX is the mostly widely used and supported 3D
file format on the market today and its rate of adoption continues to skyrocket.
If you have not as yet explored the FBX format, you owe it to yourself to consider it.
Beach House 2 is a detailed architectural model. Most of the elements have sharp edges. In order to render properly, it
is essential that you examine your 3D software’s unique import characteristics. Some packages, most notably Cinema
4D, apply phong or smoothing tags to most imported elements especially from the FBX format. If any of the elements
seem to be overly shaded or oddly smoothed, you may need to correct the smoothing attributes especially for fine
details like siding and shutters.

The buyer is granted unlimited personal and/or commercial use of the Beach House 2, 3D model. The Beach House 2,
3D model remains however the exclusive property of Reagan McKenzie Design. The model itself (the geometry) may
not be resold in whole or in part for any purpose except that the model may be incorporated, by the buyer only, in a
real-time 3D visualization or bona fide game. All other rights are reserved.
