| Man's signet ring, gargoyle motif, finger size 11, estimated cast weight 25.16 grams 14kt gold, 19.53 grams sterling silver. To facilitate two tone casting, finishing and assembly, the gargoyle bas relief and signet ring meshes are a separate units. The signet ring back is fully hollowed out to save weight, suitable castable wall thickness is maintained, meshes are watertight for rapid prototyping. Modeled to exact scale in Gemvision/Matrix/Rhino/Claytools, rendered in Flamingo, zip folder contains the 3dm model file, background, mlib materials, enhanced jpeg renders. My digital jewellery models and renders are suitable for client presentations. They are created to exact 1:1 scale in the Rhinoceros 3dm file format. They can be opened, viewed, rotated, studied, measured and printed with free Rhinoceros 3d evaluation software. My models can be modified and adapted for rapid prototyping and cnc wax milling for lost wax casting in precious metal. My digital models are also a useful visual assist for traditional wax carvers. Precise, orthogonal (top, side and through the finger views) plus unlimted perspective views of my 3d digital models can be easily printed using the free Rhino 3d evaluation software at exact 1:1 scale both on paper and on transparencies. These precise 1:1 scale printouts are very helpful for layout and visualization while carving the models using traditional wax carving methods. |
