General Information:
The M203 grenade launcher is an indirect fire weapon, developed for use with the M4 carbine and M16 rifle systems. Breach loaded, with a sliding barrel, the M203 is quick to load and easy to fire. Often issued as a squad level support weapon and a common accessory used by the US Special Forces. Fires all 'short' 40mm ammunition, not compatible with the 'long' 40mm grenades used by most crew served weapons platforms.
