The Squirrel HT1 is a single-engine light training helicopter operated by the Defence Helicopter Flying School (DHFS) at RAF Shawbury. It entered service in 1997 at RAF Shawbury as a replacement for the Gazelle. It is operated by 660 Squadron as a basic trainer and by 705 Squadron for more advanced training.
