Magach-7 was originally designed for the US army in 1962. Since 1966 Magach tanks have been used by Israel army and are constantly being upgraded. The main upgrade of the Magach-7 included thick slabs of passive armor added to the turret and hull front, armored side skirts, new fire control and thermal sleeve for the 105mm gun.
These tanks are used in the latest conflicts between Israel and Palestine.
