TEHRAN IRNARapporter of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Kazem Jalali said on Wednesday that the launching of Omid satellite has brought dignity and pride to the Iranian nation.
Speaking to IRNA, he said the successful launching of the satellite put a seal of approval on the fact that the prime goals of the Islamic Revolution have been materialized.
Launching of Omid satellite on the 30th anniversary of the victory of 1979 Islamic Revolution is among pride of the Islamic system, Jalali underlined.
Given that the world is under scientific and technological apartheid of big powers, Iran’s victory is of prime importance, he said.
Referring to allegations made by Iran’s ill-wishers who claimed that Iran suffers lack of technical and scientific apparatus, the event put an end to such comments and indicated that the country is among a handful of countries with such advanced technological know-how, Jalali said.
This scientific breakthrough has raised the prestige of the Islamic Republic in the region as well as the entire globe, he concluded.
