This high quality head mesh has been created in maya and is a polygnal mesh sitting at 2092 triangles. Do not let the low number fool you, the mesh is perfect for any game or movie. He comes with 4096x4096 and 2048x2048 versions of the diffuse color map, as well as a specular map and normal map. The textures are in tif format. The normal map is not a simple Nvidia plug in conversion. It was created from a mesh that was about 2,000,000 polys and then extracted and very minorly cleaned up to give you what you see. The mesh itself was sculpted keeping edge loop flow in mind and has perfect layout for a face rig setup. Included with the files is a example maya scene that was used for the screenshots.
