3d dead trees model - Dead Tree Collection by ssimpossible

A collection of 7 different dead trees; six are upright and one is cut down. The texture was created in Photoshop, and the dimensions are 1600 x 900 pixels in size.

These trees can be used in small forested areas to fill in the gaps, as background elements of a scene, or even the main element of an image, though they work best for shots that aren't close up due to the poly count of the meshes.

The tree branches are a separate object from the trunks to simplify the UV mapping techniques, as the trunks are UV-Mapped but the branches are not.

The scene consists of a basic backdrop to allow a soft gradient in the background and to display shadows better. The lighting is made up of a directional/sun lamp on the left acting as the sun, and a fill/hemi lamp on the lower right to recreate the ambient lighting from the sky and any bounce light the trees may have received from the ground or other trees.

These models were originally created in Blender 3D version 2.6.
