3d creature alphabet - rigged model - Alphabet robot - rigged by krisjanus

This creature was designed as part of a university research project - an animation about semiotics and language. Some details regarding the model:
The model is made up from collapsed letter-objects - thus 3d letters collapsed to polygon objects and then linked to a skeleton. Thus it is a rigid model, not skinned and deformable - each object is linked to it's corresponding bone for animation.
It's fully rigged from scratch:
1> Right arm - 3 limbs from the shoulder to the pinchers and 2 pinchers at the end - Inverse kinematics from the pinchers to 2 limbs down
2> Left arm - completely humanoid - 5 fingers, 2 arm limbs - with inverse kinematics
3> Legs - 2 limbs seperated by a 6-link joint acting like a flexible pipe joint - controlled by inverse kinematics. Feet are like podswhich can rotate
4> Spine consists of 5 links with control objects for waist and chest
5> Neck and head link
6> COG object
7> Control objects have been defined for all major links and end points to make selection for animation easy
