3d colt 1911 details model - Highly detailed Colt 1911 by Artem_Shvetsov

This is highly detailed model of Colt 1911. It was made using original Colt 1911 blueprints, and I tried to make it as accurate and close to all measurements, as it was possible. It has all details that original Colt do- from largest parts to smallest pins and springs, and all of them are named. Springs are either helix and you can define it's height, or splines with stretch modifier apllied, where '0' means free size of a spring, so please, don't convert them to polys, otherwise they couldn't act as springs anymore. This model is not animated, or specially textured. Textures on thumbnails are simple standart Max textures rendered using Mental Ray.

In other formats other than 3DMax, all springs are converted to polygons.

In downloadable preview you can download and take a look at some parts of the gun: frame, magazine catch mechanism and magazine body. You can play with them to see how magazine catch works inside Colt 1911. Also, large render of model is included, so you can take a closer look on the details
