Very nice road system. Clean mesh, well thought out U/v's, nice detail, and no wasted texture space.

The addition of signs, parking meters, etc. is what clinched the deal for me.

I'll definitely be using this in future projects.

Description
City street system with 2 lane, 3 lane, and 4 lane roads, a 4 lane highway with wide shoulders, entrances and exits. There are 26 different city blocks already modeled and fully textured for immediate use in game or simply for rendering purposes.

The highway includes elevated sections and ones at ground level with one highway interchange.

Over 40 signs complete the road and highway system. Large truss sign are included for the highway on a separate customizable texture.

3 kinds of stop lights, 2 sizes of telephone poles with alpha wires, parking meters, and highway crash barrels are also included.

The 26 blocks use about 125K polygons. A fully decorated block, as shown above uses about 30K (Quads). 2 Blocks, one highway and one street level are fully decorated. The rest are up to you.

There are 4 separate diffuse textures, 3 alphas and 3 bump maps at varying sizes. There is next to no tilling in the textures.

The final 3 images are from a UT3 MOD based on this road package. Roads were modified using simple bend and FFD box modifiers in 3dsMax. The textures received a layer of cracks, a reddish tint and a bump in size and detail with a simple noise filter in Photoshop. The lamp posts, signs, and telephone wires all came form this package to. These changes took less than a day to make. Having this road system saved me a more than 2 weeks worth of work (planing, modeling, UVing and textureing) and will do the same for you.

!!!The OBJ file for this has some small areas without uv coordinates!

The 2 .oth files are the textures.
