It is in 2 parts so that the bulbs can have different shadow attributes than the chrome base. In a detailed scene I would eliminate the CHROME.IFF relection map. Point lights can be placed inside the bulbs and they will shine through, this would only be necessary for accurate shadows in a detailed scene.
