Anduril, the sword of Aragorn, reforgedfrom the shards of Narsil in Rivendale, Narsil was forged by Telchar the Dwarf in Nogrod during the first age, it was used by Elendil in the Last aliance war, in the siege of Barad Dhur, and broke into two beneath Elendil as he fell fighting Sauron. Elendil's son Isildur then used the hilt-shard of the sword to cut the One Ring from the hand of Sauron. Sauron was vanquished and his spirit fled but his power endured in the ring.
