Description
Originally published in 2005, this fun, brightly colored rocket was completely remodeled and released with updated 2048 x 2048 UV maps in 2012. The new mesh is topologically clean, well constructed, and streamlined to contain approximately 60% fewer polygons than the original model. Both body and fins are unwrapped and UV mapped to allow easy transfer between programs. The chrome base is also unwrapped, but is currently textured with a material.

These new graphics are completely original, unique to TurboSquid, and appropriate for scenes from the 1950s to present (or future), but each folder contains a .jpg UV template that you can use to create your own designs, if you prefer.

Please note that the rocket body UV seam is on the side shown in the thumbnails, and has been carefully adjusted to be virtually invisible, as is evident in the close-up image above. The exhaust and radio antenna are chrome materials, which may require you to adjust diffuse, specular, gloss and reflection settings in your target program, or you can simply substitute a preset from your own library.

LightWave users: Glowing red ball effect requires enabling glow settings in Layout (Scene > Image Processing > Enable Glow: Intensity 50%; Pixel Radius: 10).

Other software users: Please consult your user manual for creating glow effects.

All transfer formats (.3ds, .obj, and .fbx) and are base mesh (not subpatched or TurboSmoothed). The images above show the model rendered at a subpatch level of two (2 iterations), which is recommended for best results.

Modeled in LightWave 9.6 software, compatible with versions 6.0 through 11 (current).
